How to remove hard water stains and limescale

Water hardness varies widely across the U.S., with especially hard water common in many central and southwestern regions.

Hard water stains and limescale are common household problems. They appear on faucets, shower doors, sinks, tiles, and kitchen appliances when minerals from water build up over time.

With the right cleaning method, these deposits can be removed effectively and surfaces can stay clean and shiny.

What causes hard water stains and limescale??

Hard water contains minerals such as calcium and magnesium. When water evaporates, these minerals remain on surfaces and create:

White spots on faucets and fixtures

Cloudy shower glass

Limescale around sinks and drain

Deposits in kettles and coffee machines

The longer limescale remains, the harder it becomes to remove.
